So much for injuries along the offensive line and the injuries to Alvin Kamara being the only top concerns for the New Orleans Saints heading into Week 4.
Star wide receiver Chris Olave suffered a hamstring injury during the final practice of the week before his team plays the Atlanta Falcons.
The sudden, unexpected development leaves Olave with a “questionable” tag on the final injury report.
According to ESPN’s Katherine Terrell, Olave suffered the injury after the portion of practice open to the media, and Adam Schefter reported the star wideout technically carries a “day-to-day” outlook.
Derek Carr’s offense can’t exactly afford to miss its top wideout, who already has 12 catches for 178 yards and a score this season. The offensive line is already going to be without at least two starters. Taysom Hill is only just getting back from a chest injury that required a hospital visit and Kamara remains questionable due to multiple injuries.
Still, Saints fans don’t have to look far around the league to see big names like Tee Higgins in Cincinnati struggling with the fickle nature of hamstring issues. If he misses the game, it places even more pressure and chances on the likes of Rashid Shaheed and even the high-upside Mason Tipton. Otherwise, backs like Kamara and tight ends will get heavy workloads.
