Heckling former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees outside the Caesars Superdome doesn’t seem like the best of ideas, all things considered.
That’s just what one Philadelphia Eagles fan attempted this past Sunday, though, as captured by fans outside the stadium.
In the instantly viral video, an Eagles fan shouted, “Drew Brees, Go Birds,” at Brees, who was heading for the stadium to serve as the honorary "Legend of the Game."
Brees hit him back with something that ended the exchange pretty quickly: “I’ve got a pretty good record against you guys.”
Fair enough. As a member of the Saints, Brees was 4-2 against the Eagles and was often a major blockage in the road to Philadelphia’s contention hopes during that era, with some of those victories coming in the postseason.
Technically speaking, the Eagles fan enjoyed more success than Brees over the weekend at the Superdome, given the Saints loss that had players sending messages to fans and the team being accused of fluky wins to start the season.
But in reality, Brees chalks as the winner here.
