Is Davante Adams playing in Week 4? Latest injury update on Raiders WR image

The Las Vegas Raiders got some bad news on Thursday afternoon during practice, as wide receiver Davante Adams came down with a hamstring injury that put his Week 4 status up in the air.

Adams wasn't listed on the injury report on Wednesday, so it would appear he got hurt during Thursday's session. Ultimately, he was listed as questionable on the Raiders' injury report for Thursday.

Ahead of practice on Friday, head coach Antonio Pierce revealed Adams' status for the Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns, and it isn't good. Here's the latest on Las Vegas' star wide receiver ahead of the game on Sunday.

Davante Adams injury update

According to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez, head coach Antonio Pierce revealed that his star wide receiver will not suit up in Week 4 against the Browns, which is terrible news for an offense that was already struggling.

This will be the first game Adams has missed in his two-plus seasons with the Raiders. He last missed a game in 2021 as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Football advice to replace Davante Adams

If you don't have another option on your roster, you may want to consider fellow wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who stands to be the No. 1 option at the position without Adams on the field.

Meyers had his best game of the 2024 season in Week 3, reeling in seven catches on nine targets for 62 yards and a score, all of which were season-highs for him. Meyers appears to be developing chemistry with quarterback Gardner Minshew and would be a strong flex option for fantasy owners.

Tight end Brock Bowers becomes an even better starting option in the wake of Adams' injury, as Minshew figures to lean on him even more than usual.
