Former NBA Champion blasts media for not ranking Celtics coach as one of the best in the NBA image

Former NBA champion Udonis Haslem was very upset with the media on the OGsPodcast for not ranking Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla no. 1 in a poll about the best coaches in the NBA. This is based off the CBS Sports poll where Mazzula was ranked no. 11.

“It ain’t 10 coaches in the league better than Joe Mazzulla…I don’t see ten coaches on there better than Joe Mazzulla. And I ain’t picking and choosing who come out that thing, but I know Joe Mazzulla definitely should be in the top eight.”

Mazzulla has coached his team to a record of 121-43 in two seasons, and got them a championship. The Celtics are also looking to go back to back, making Mazzulla get two rings in his first three years.

Mazzulla also is tied for the youngest coach ever to win a NBA Finals, with Celtics player-coach Bill Russell. So technically he is the youngest pure coach to win a Finals.

Mazzulla is going to try to lead his team to a back to back title, and if he can he should be solidified as a top five coach in the NBA.
