A look back on some of the most legendary Celtics Woj Bombs image

Earlier this morning, iconic NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski announced his retirement from ESPN and being an insider. After 37 years of updates, trades, injuries, free agencies, he now is moving on with the next chapter of his life. To honor him, here are some legendary Boston Celtic Woj Bombs.

Kristaps Porzinigis Trade 

This is the most recent legendary Woj Bomb, and it led to one of the greatest Celtics seasons ever, leading to their league-leading 18 banners. In the trade, the Celtics had to give up fan-favorite DPOY guard Marcus Smart, but getting Porzingis pushed the team over the edge. 

Kyrie Irving Trade 

The trade that was supposed to do what the Porzingis trade did, Kyrie left the shadow of LeBron James to lead his own team. In the trade, the C’s gave up Isaiah Thomas, the team’s current point guard . This blockbuster trade was supposed to help form the super team to beat the Golden State Warriors, but it never worked out. 

Gordon Hayward Trade

A reunion between college coach and star player, getting Gordon Hayward was vital to the creation of the first Boston super team. Hayward alway wanted to play for his former coach at Butler University, and this gave him the opportunity. In the trade, Boston re-signed Jae Crowder and sent him to Utah for Hayward. Unfortunately, due to his career-altering injury in his first game as a Celtic, Hayward never reached his true potential. 

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett Trade

The most iconic trade in Celtics history, which led to the Celtics having the stars they have today. Without this trade, the Celtics would not have Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, or the assets to acquire anyone else on this team. Known as the greatest fleece job in NBA history, it enabled the C’s to go from one great team to the next with basically no time in between. It sent Pierce and Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets, for a bunch of role players and a ton of picks.
