The Boston Red Sox win the double-header against the Minnesota Twins with a second win in one day, beating the Twins 9-3. The whole offense contributed to this game, unlike the carry-job by Triston Casas in the first game.
Kutter Crawford has another great start, going almost eight innings, giving up three runs, and striking out seven. Three runs over eight innings is actually pretty good, and the offense did more than enough to overcome it.
The offense managed to overcome the Twins 2-0 lead in the fifth with a three-run homer by Romy Gonzalez, and then used the sixth inning as a rally to put in six more runs.
After Crawford left the game, Josh Winckowski came in and cleaned up in the last inning and a third, sealing the sweep of the double-header.
The Sox will play tomorrow against the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto at 7:10pm EST.
