The Boston Red Sox edge by the Baltimore Orioles 12-10 in a slugfest and destroyed the O’s ace, Corbin Burnes.
The Sox did not have a true pitcher this game, and the scoreboard reflected it. The Sox gave up 10 runs throughout the game. It didn’t matter though, as the Sox offense came to play this game unlike yesterday.
The Sox kicked O’s ace Corbin Burnes around, getting him to give up eight runs in four innings. That is the most runs Burnes has ever given up in a game in his career.
Seven of the Sox’s hitters had hits, with five of them having multiple. Rafael Devers, Masataka Yoshida, Jarren Durran, and David Hamilton all had home runs as well.
The late game bullpen got knocked around a bit, but Kenley Jansen shut it down in the ninth to secure the much needed win.
The Sox will face the Orioles once again tomorrow at 7:05pm EST.
