Red Sox offense nowhere to be found; lose to Rays 2-0 image

The Boston Red Sox lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0, and lost the series 2-1. The Sox offense just couldn’t put it together.

Brayan Bello was the starter, and he pitched a good game. He went five and two thirds, gave up one earned run, and struck out seven. Usually with a performance like this, the Sox would win under Bello, as he is the pitcher with the best record on the team, and the Sox have the best record when he pitches in general

However, tonight was not one of those cases. The bats simply could not put it together. The Sox offense combined for 11 strikeouts, and only got one hit in the game.

The Sox will return to Boston to face the third Wildcard holders in the Minnesota Twins tomorrow at 7:10pm EST.
