The Boston Red Sox are expected to be all-in on Atlanta Braves’ star pitcher, Max Fried, this offseason. Fried will be a free agent this offseason, and a lot of teams will be gunning for him.

This season, Fried started in 29 games, and obtained a record of 11-10. He posted an ERA of 3.25, and struck out 166 batters.

The Red Sox rotation is in desperate need of an ace after trading away Chris Sale. Due to his departure, they had to all play up a position in the order, and overworked themselves doing so.

With an ace like Fried, all the members of the rotation could slide down a spot and bear a better load.

Fried is also a lefty, which the Sox have none of in the starting rotation, and barely any on the whole staff.

Boston has the money to buy him, as he will require a big check. They also have confirmed through the front office, manager, and players that the Sox will be buyers at the deadline.

Fried might be approached by the LA Dodgers due to being a California guy, but the Sox seem like the top contender for him.
