Red Sox CBO says team will be aggressive and decisive in the offseason image

Boston Red Sox Chief of Baseball Operations Craig Breslow did an interview with Rob Bradford on the Baseball isn’t Boring podcast, and talked about how he and the front office would approach the offseason. He says they’re going in with an aggressive mindset.

“We are preparing to be more decisive, more aggressive, to field a team that is capable of winning the division, of making a deep playoff run...that is the messaging I am getting throughout the organization, that it is time to deliver to our fans the teams they have come to expect.”

This is reassuring for Red Sox fans, as it seems the team is ready to spend, and be a top payroll next season. In the past few seasons, the Sox have been sixth to 13th in payroll. Every time they have won it all, they were a top two payroll in the MLB.

The Sox have laid a strong foundation in these past few years with their prospects, and now have the room in their salary to sign some big names. It looks like the perfect time for the team to do so.
