It's no secret that the New York Jets are in the trade market for another wide receiver. It's been a disappointing 2-3 start to the season for the Jets, who are getting little production from their receiving corps outside of Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.
The team heads back home from London to face off against their division rival Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football in need of a spark. They haven't looked good offensively to date, but an addition to the WR room before the game could provide the boost that the Jets need to take down the first-place Bills.
With the shelf-life of Jets QB Aaron Rodgers limited because of his age, there would be no better addition to this team than Las Vegas Raiders superstar WR Davante Adams. The 31-year-old WR is reportedly seeking a trade out of Sin City and the Jets appear to be at the top of his list because of their four-time NFL MVP quarterback.
Rodgers is the main attraction for Adams, who has already hinted at the desire for a reunion. During an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he told Hall-of-Fame TE Shannon Sharpe that Rodgers would be the QB he'd most want to reconnect with if given the opportunity.

It's sounding more and more like Adams will eventually become a Jet and that could be the jolt their underperforming offense needs. He not only becomes an immediate threat. Still one of the best WRs in the NFL, he opens up the field for other star players such as Wilson who had his first Wilson-like game of the season this past Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings.
Also, Adams's chemistry and connection with Rodgers cannot be understated as the two were the best QB-WR duo in the sport for 8 years. Rodgers threw a total of 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns to Adams throughout their time together and now they have the potential to add to that total. This type of rapport can help mask the inefficiency lacking in the WR room.
Not only has Rodgers not been in sync with Wilson, but he has seemingly had late-game miscommunications WRs Xavier Gipson and Mike Williams, throwing balls before the receivers' heads were even turned. The ball to Gipson came on a 4th down and the mishap with Williams ended up in the hands of Minnesota's Stephon Gilmore.
Adams should be traded soon enough here and with a struggling offense in an all-in type of year it's imperative that the Jets get a deal done with Las Vegas.
