New York Jets' interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich holds a luxury that not many first-timers can claim.
The elevated defensive coordinator has the chance to start a future Hall-of-Fame quarterback in his head coaching debut on Monday Night Football. When the Jets (2-3) host the reigning four-time AFC East champion Buffalo Bills (3-2) on October 14, Aaron Rodgers will be ready to go.
The 40-year-old Rodgers has been on New York's injury report for the past two weeks, most recently for what has been reported as a low-ankle sprain.
"He's looked really good. He's a magician as far as the work he puts into his body and all the regen, and all the everything. He looks like Aaron, which is a fantastic thing, as we all know," said Ulbrich.
Following back-to-back days of limited participation, Rodgers practiced fully on Saturday and does not carry an injury designation into the important Week 6 primetime affair.
Rodgers, who is 13 months removed from a torn Achilles, has been sacked eight times over the past two weeks. The four-time NFL MVP was taken down in a heap of bodies while throwing a second-half incompletion against the Minnesota Vikings in London.

"I'm definitely banged up. Got my foot caught on the pile there. Just seems to be a low ankle sprain," said Rodgers after the 23-17 loss.
Although visibly hurt at different points each of the last two weeks, Rodgers has not missed a snap.
