Saints star Cam Jordan sends message to fans after brutal loss to Eagles image

The New Orleans Saints fell just short of taking down another NFC contender in consecutive weeks on Sunday, dropping a homestand against the Philadelphia Eagles, 15-12.

Despite some massive trash talk from the Eagles that got a reply from Tyrann Mathieu, most around the Saints exited the game on a positive-sounding note.

Take, for example, the statement issued by Cam Jordan on social media: “Tough loss, break down film, respond accordingly. Gotta control what can be controlled. 24 hr rule in effect.”

It would be hard to blame Jordan and the defense for some level of frustration, though.

Said defense limited Jalen Hurts to one interception and sacked the star quarterback four times. The unit’s issues mostly came on the ground, where Saquon Barkley popped off for 147 yards and scored two touchdowns on an 8.6 per-carry average.

Despite those eye-popping numbers, the Saints defense blanked the Eagles through three quarters of play while a Derek Carr-led offense that had dropped 40-plus points in each of its first two games sputtered.

Things don’t get much easier for the Saints over the next few weeks, either, not with a game against an Atlanta team that nearly just knocked off Kansas City, then a trip to Arrowhead to play the Chiefs themselves.
