The New Orleans Saints came crashing back down to Earth in Week 3, ending the hot streak with a 15-12 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Things got nasty near the end of the game, too.

A late Derek Carr interception to seal things led to some massive trash talk from Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson and defensive lineman Jalen Carter, with the latter needing to be restrained on the sideline in the process.

But the Saints didn’t go quietly, with Tyrann Mathieu having some choice words for the Eagles after the game.

"Me and (Marshon Lattimore), we should never go to those guys' sideline,” Mathieu said, according to NOLA.com’s Jeff Duncan. “(But) it happens to all of us. Emotions got the best of us. Didn’t really hear from those guys all game until the end. Be looking forward to playing those guys again hopefully."

The Saints will need to be much better for a chance to see the Eagles again, especially on offense. There, the lack of Taysom Hill weighed on everything, with Alvin Kamara only able to average 3.3 yards per carry while Carr threw one touchdown and interception.
