NFL picks, predictions Week 4: Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks image

The Detroit Lions are sporting a 2-1 record and will return home to Ford Field in Week 4 looking to knock off one of the five unbeaten teams left in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks.

After dropping their Week 2 contest, the Lions managed to pull off a victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, 20-13. Detroit's defense shined once again, while the offense was good in the first half before struggling in the second.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks kept rolling right along in Week 3, beating the Tua Tagovailoa-less Miami Dolphins, 24-3. Seattle is one of five unbeaten teams remaining in the league, along with the Pittsburgh SteelersBuffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Lions have several injury concerns going into the game versus the Seahawks, so that will certainly be something to monitor during the week. The good news for the Lions is that they'll have an extra day to get right for the Monday night contest.

Now, what you came for: some expert picks and predictions for Lions versus Seahawks in Week 4.

NFL picks, predictions Week 4: Lions vs. Seahawks

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Lions 31, Seahawks 27

Iyer: "The Seahawks have taken care of the Broncos, Patriots, and shorthanded Dolphins, with two of the games being at home. This is a tough Monday night road trip, despite the fact they have recent experience winning in Detroit with Geno Smith. The Lions found their pounding running game again last week to alleviate Jared Goff. The Seahawks' offense will be cooled just enough vs. the best defense it has seen this season."

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Lions 28, Seahawks 21

Bender: "The Seahawks' defense, which has allowed 14.3 points per game, has been the key to a hot start. The Lions have been dealing with key injuries, including tight end Sam LaPorta (ankle). Detroit has played three one-score games to this point, and this will be another one that tests Dan Campbell's mantra of "grit." Detroit is 9-3 S/U and 7-5 ATS as a home favorite at Ford Field since 2023, and the prime-time spotlight will help."

Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: Lions 27, Seahawks 20

Cluff: "The Seahawks' surprising 3-0 start has been impressive, but the Lions represent a step up in competition.

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Lions 24, Seahawks 21

Johnson: "Closing out NFL Week 4 is an excellent Monday Night Football battle between the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks. Geno Smith is outperforming Jared Goff right now, but the Lions have a distinct advantage in the trenches. Detroit will also line up Aidan Hutchinson on the right side, avoiding Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross. It should be an entertaining back-and-forth game, with Detroit closing it out in the final minutes of the fourth quarter."
