Detroit Lions' Aidan Hutchinson breaks franchise record in Week 3 win image

The Detroit Lions bounced back following their loss last week with a 20-13 Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals that once again showed off their improved defense. And, once again, star edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson notched a sack.

Hutchinson recorded the sack of Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray in the fourth quarter, which ups his season total to 6.5. Hutchinson was coming off a contest in Week 2 that saw him tally 4.5 sacks, including three in the first quarter.

With the sack, Hutchinson now has at least one in each of his last five regular season games dating back to last season, which sets a new franchise record for the longest streak of regular season games with at least one sack.

Making Detroit's defensive effort even more impressive was the fact that it came against a Cardinals team that just dropped 69 points over its first two games, including a 41-point effort last week against the Los Angeles Rams.

Hutchinson wasn't the only Lions player to hit a milestone in Week 3.

Running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs both broke 100 scrimmage yards and became the first running back duo since 2006 to crack 70-plus scrimmage yards in each of their first three games to start a season.

After a brief stay in the desert, the Lions will return home in Week 4 to take on the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
