NFL picks, predictions Week 6: Cincinnati Bengals vs. New York Giants image

The Cincinnati Bengals (1-4) are looking to right the ship after another heartbreaking loss to the Baltimore Ravens (3-2) on Sunday.

After getting their first win of the season in a road matchup against the Carolina Panthers, the Bengals found themselves on the wrong end of a 41-38 overtime contest in Week 5.

Though the offense has been one of the best units in the NFL over the last four games, the defense has been on the other end of the spectrum.

Now, the Bengals will look to get back on track with a road matchup against the New York Giants (2-3) in prime time on Sunday night.

Assuming Malik Nabers (concussion) is healthy enough to return after missing last week's game, this matchup will showcase the brightest stars at the wide receiver position with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the other side.

Despite having a worse record, the Bengals open the week as 3.5-point road favorites against the Giants, and the NFL experts are echoing that statement in their Week 6 picks.

NFL picks, predictions Week 6: Bengals vs. Giants

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Bengals 27, Giants 21

Bender: "Is this a dangerous spot for a reeling Bengals team that continues to struggle on defense? The Giants have allowed 21 points or less the past two weeks, but they also are 0-2 S/U and averaging 10.5 points per game at home. Joe Burrow is 1-1 on Sunday Night Football, but he has a 113.6 passer rating. Cincinnati's passing attack will remain on point in a much-needed road victory."

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Bengals 30, Giants 27

Iyer: "The Bengals' offense needs to score plenty and pass plenty with Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins because the defense has fallen apart vs. the run and pass. The Giants' offense has gotten hot with Daniel Jones responding well to Brian Daboll's play-calling when not facing a tough defensive matchup. Look for Jones to keep it up, especially if Malik Nabers returns to show he can be as good of a rookie LSU receiver as Chase was. The Giants run well with whoever to stay in the game, but Burrow delivers a game-winning drive to try to save the Bengals season (again)."

Jeremy Cluff, USA Today Sports: Bengals 34, Giants 20

Cluff: "The Bengals really can't fall to 1-5, can they? Cincinnati has had some tough losses. It will have a big win against the Giants in Week 6."

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Bengals 28, Giants 27

Johnson: "Theoretically, this is a game the Cincinnati Bengals should be able to win relatively easily. We’ve learned our lesson, though, especially considering how well this New York Giants offense performed without Malik Nabers. The standout rookie receiver should return in Week 6 and he will absolutely feast on this Bengals’ secondary, just as Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins will eat on Sunday Night Football against New York’s corners. The edge goes to the better quarterback, but the Giants defensive line could swing this game easily."

Ben Rolfe, Pro Football Network: Bengals 24, Giants 21

Rolfe: "The Bengals have scored over 100 points in the last three games but have gone 1-2 in that period. Their defense is a major concern, and it will make it hard to take them laying points on the road. They should win, but the best way to go might be the moneyline as part of a parlay."
