The Boston Red Sox lose to the Minnesota Twins 4-2 in extra innings. They had no drive to score, and it really, really showed.
The pitching was actually great this game. Richard Fitts had another good start, going five innings and striking out three, and gave up no runs. The relievers were good, except for Chris Martin and Cooper Criswell. Martin gave up a run in the seventh, and Criswell gave up three in the twelfth.
The offense was disgustingly bad this game. They had nine hits, 20 strikeouts, left 17 men on base, and only got two runs. The weather played a big part, but at the same time, they had multiple chances to win the game, and they blew it, every single time.
The Sox will play Minnesota tomorrow to tie the series up at 4:10pm EST.
