You can bet Stephanie Vaquer feels like she’s sitting on top of the world right now. It’s been a whirlwind last several days for the veteran superstar wrestler, having gone from an electric PPV showing for AEW and NJPW last week to a bidding war that led her to the WWE and then, almost immediately thereafter, making her debut for the promotion.

It came at The SuperShow Summer Tour in Mexico this past weekend in a match against Isla Dawn, one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, where she also took home her first-ever victory as a WWE superstar.

Just before that match, she was formally welcomed by El Campeon himself, Damian Priest.

“Welcome,” said the WWE Heavyweight Champion. “I am extremely happy to have another Latino representing here, I feel very proud. I wish you the best.

“Go Represent.”

And she did precisely that in front of a Mexican crowd she is no stranger to performing in front of, thanks to her five years spent within the ranks of the CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre), a stretch that included her winning multiple titles that were stripped of her last week when she made her decision to join WWE.

Her former CMLL Women’s Championship has now been acquired by AEW superstar Willow Nightingale.

There’s a seriously bright future in store for Vaquer in WWE, and she’ll continue the journey of “fulfilling my dream” as a part of the NXT brand with eyes on being drafted soon to one of the two main rosters — RAW or SmackDown.

And that’s where she and Priest will likely meet again in some capacity.
