The New England Patriots will take on the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium for a Week 6 showdown.
Unfortunately, New England will be without another one of their captains, as they've ruled out long snapper Joe Cardona for the contest due to a calf injury.
Cardona, 32, has only missed three games in his career since the Patriots selected him in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft out of Navy.
Interestingly enough, the last time Cardona was unable to play (2022), the Patriots brought in Tucker Addington to fill in, and they've done the exact same thing this week, signing Addington to the practice squad on Friday and elevating him on Saturday.
New England's special teams units have been superb to start the year, so hopefully a change at arguably the most underrated position in football doesn't throw things off too much in this matchup.
