4 things to know about Patriots-Jets heading into Week 3 image

The New England Patriots, after starting their 2024 season off 1-1 through two games, are hitting the road again to take on the New York Jets on Thursday night for their Week 3 battle.

New York hasn't looked overly impressive either through two weeks, as they've also started 1-1 and have given up the most points of any AFC East team so far.

New England's defense has looked strong, but their offense has been slow and has had a tough time moving the ball consistently or finding the end zone.

Before these two teams hit the field at MetLife Stadium, here are a few things to know heading into the matchup:

    History

New York ended New England's 15-game winning streak in this series last season, as the Jets beat the Patriots 15-10.

    Injury concerns

New England has already ruled out guard Sidy Sow (ankle), offensive tackle Vederian Lowe (knee) and linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley (shoulder) for this game.

Center David Andrews (hip), offensive tackle Mike Onwenu (wrist), safety Jabrill Peppers (shoulder) and defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. (should) are all questionable.

New York ruled out linebacker Jermaine Johnson (Achilles) and listed out linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) as questionable.
