As the New England Patriots ready for their Week 6 battle with the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium, they're elevating at least one player from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

According to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, New England is calling up running back Terrell Jennings for the contest.

Jennings signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent this offseason out of Florida A&M. In four collegiate seasons, he rushed for 1,754 yards and 24 touchdowns on 4.6 yards per attempt and caught 19 passes for 163 yards and another score.

In the preseason, Jennings rushed for 74 yards on 6.2 yards per attempt and caught three passes for 23 yards with New England before he was moved to the practice squad during roster cuts.

New England will be without Rhamondre Stevenson this week while he deals with a foot injury. Antonio Gibson is expected to get the start and JaMycal Hasty and Jennings will provide depth.
