Yesterday the first injury report of the week dropped ahead of the Miami Dolphins’ Week 5 matchup against the New England Patriots. There was a laundry list of players listed on the report for both sides, and that appears to be the case again today, as the second injury report of the week has dropped.
On the Dolphins’ side, the big news of yesterday was that linebacker Jaelan Phillips had suffered a season-ending knee injury and would be placed on injured reserve. Today’s injury report reflects that change, as his injury designation was officially “moved to IR”. The only other negative change for the Dolphins on the second injury report of the week was the addition of linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah to the report as a limited participant – but it’s just a rest day for the veteran; no injury concerns there have been reported.
On the positive side, offensive tackle Terron Armstead (concussion), cornerback Kendall Fuller (concussion), and running back Jeff Wilson, Jr. (knee) were all upgraded to full participants from yesterday’s estimated statuses.
For the Patriots, the biggest change from yesterday’s injury report is the addition of cornerback Marcus Jones as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice with a groin injury, and safety Jabrill Peppers being listed as a limited participant on Thursday after being a non-participant yesterday with a shoulder injury. They also got good news on tight end Jaheim Bell, as he was upgraded to a full participant in Thursday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday with a neck injury.
