Detroit Lions set to debut highly anticipated uniform combo in Week 4 image

The Detroit Lions have a Monday Night Football matchup at Ford Field against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4 and the Lions appear set to debut a uniform combo that many fans have been waiting for.

Earlier this year, the Lions unveiled their new-look uniforms, with the black jersey, black or blue pants and blue helmet combination catching the most attention, both positive and negative. Detroit previously rolled out a black jersey in 2005, but hasn't worn one since 2007.

That streak is about to end this week, as the Lions revealed they will indeed wear their new alternate in a social media post. It remains unclear what pants the Lions plan on wearing, but just having the black jersey is exciting in and of itself.

"It's on," the Lions' social media post read.

It only makes sense to debut the black jersey in a night game. We'll go out on a limb and say the Lions will go all black, but that remains to be seen.

Detroit and Seattle will meet on Monday, Sept. 30, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET. This will be the fourth meeting between the two franchises in four seasons. The Seahawks have dominated the Lions of late, winning six straight.
