Denver Broncos seem to be planning a fun wrinkle with Bo Nix on offense image

The Denver Broncos are a team with a great quarterback history, even if recently, that has been far from the case. After all, the team has had John Elway and Peyton Manning.

The Broncos are looking to get back to that great history of quarterbacks and hope they have finally found the guy who can help them do that in Bo Nix. Traditionally, the Broncos have relied on pure pocket passers and players with big arms.

Nix is known for his ability to make quick, precise throws, which plays right into one Sean Payton likes to do. However, there is a vastly underrated aspect of Nix's game: his mobility.

Nix is deceptively quick. He rushed for 1,613 yards during his college career at Auburn and Oregon and had an incredible 38 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 4.0 yards per attempt. This could (and should) lead to the Broncos utilizing this in their offense this coming season.

It's not likely that we see the team run this during preseason games. They don't want to tip their hand. But it has been seen in training camp during practices, showing that it is in the mind of the coaching staff.

Nix won't realize the success running the ball that he did in college at the pro level. But it is certainly something that can be introduced to make this new offense more versatile and keep the opposition guessing.
