During the Denver Broncos' 10-9 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, fans witnessed what looked like a terrifying injury to running back Tyler Badie.
Late in the first quarter and facing a 3rd-and-13, Bo Nix threw a short pass to Badie as he slipped out of the backfield. But he took a shot to the lower back from linebacker Quincy Williams. Badie coughed the ball up on the play and the Jets recovered.
Badie was able to get off the field but then was shown on the sideline, behind the bench, being worked on. Reports stated that he collapsed on the sideline.
It was certainly a frightening scene but the after the game, sources said he would be OK without giving too many details.

"He's going to be alright" and "He's doing OK."
Obviously not much detail, but that's what we've got so far.
Tyler Badie is doing "ok" after leaving the game field on a stretcher, per source.

The injury cast a dark shadow over the win, but the hope is that he will be OK and make a full recovery. The Broncos seemed to have a plan to get Badie involved in the action early in this one, as he was given a few touches in the first quarter of the rain-soaked game.
It remains to be seen how much time, if any, Badie will miss, but obviously, his health is of chief importance.
