The Denver Broncos will open training camp for the 2024 season in just over one week and the team is expected to have a fiery battle at one position. Of course, that will be at the quarterback position.
Looking around the league and the rosters of the 32 NFL teams, Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports put together a list of the 14 best position battles for football fans to keep tabs on this summer and the very first one on his list is the quarterback position in Denver.
Bo Nix vs. Jarrett Stidham vs. Zach Wilson.
Who will win the Denver Broncos' starting QB job?
As Benjamin notes, the rookie Nix is expected to be the eventual choice of head coach Sean Payton. Jarrett Stidham, who finished the 2023 season as the team's starter in favor of a benched Russell Wilson is there as a fall-back option and Zach Wilson is seen as the dark horse, despite being a former No. 2 overall draft pick.
Broncos fans are certainly interested in how this competition will go, but the temperature around the rest of the league is likely a little more lukewarm.
Several major outlets have been down on the Broncos' overall roster and Pro Football Focus recently ranked the Broncos' QB room as the worst in the NFL.
Still, it will be the most important question for the Broncos to answer in training camp.
