The Buffalo Bills are 3-2 heading into Week 6 after dropping their last two games. The most recent came in a 23-20 loss to the Houston Texans and it featured a scary moment for Bills fans and their quarterback.
Josh Allen was hit as he threw while running to his right, and his head slammed against the turf. Allen remained on the ground before being helped up and jogged off under his own power. The Bills punted and Mitch Trubisky took one snap before Allen came back in the game, which some were very worried about and feared Allen may have been playing with a concussion. Allen himself was asked about what went into him getting back in the game, and his answer didn't spark much hope into the health of his head.
"I obviously went into the tent," Allen said. "I can only control what I can control. What we talked about there, they deemed me cleared to play, and that's what happened. That's as deep as I'll get into it."
That certainly doesn't inspire confidence in the NFL and their care for player's safety. Hopefully Allen is truly okay.
