The Ohio State Buckeyes are entering this season as one of the top offensive powerhouses in the nation. With Will Howard starting at quarterback and throwing to elite weapons like Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith, the Buckeyes are going to rack up the points.
But there is still one major question: Who will be the main threat as the starting running back?
The two primary options Ryan Day has to work with are senior TreVeyon Henderson and junior transfer Quinshon Judkins.
Entering his fourth season with the Buckeyes, Henderson has totaled 2,745 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns on 446 carries in three years. The Virginia native has been a quintessential piece in the Buckeyes' offense, and with some of the most experience on the team, Henderson is poised for another great season.
The other option is the Ole Miss prodigy. During his two years with the Rebels, Judkins put up an astounding 2,725 total career yards to go along with 31 touchdowns on 545 carries. While Judkins may lack in experience compared to his senior teammate, he matches in overall talent.
Whether TreVeyon Henderson or Quinshon Judkins starts at running back remains undecided, Ryan Day said. He named James Peoples as Ohio State’s official No. 3 ballcarrier behind Henderson and Judkins.

While it is a tough decision for Ryan Day to make, any combination of the two will give defenses across the nation trouble. This running back duo is arguably the deepest in the country, so no matter who gets the touches, defenses should be fearful when seeing either number 32 or number 1 in the backfield.
The Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson backfield is going to be electric 🅾️⚡️
