In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics answered some questions that fans wanted to know the answer to.
The burning question that most people wanted to know was did Tatum know he was being made of with memes about him imitating other champions when he won the NBA Finals in June.
“The internet is a great place and you know it's definitely as they say the internet is undefeated so you know I've had a good time laughing and seeing all the memes,” Tatum remarked.
For a while after the Finals ended, Tatum was getting made fun of non-stop on social media, being called cringe and unoriginal. It looks like Tatum was able to laugh it off though and bask in the limelight.
Tatum also felt honored after being asked how he felt winning the Finals with an iconic franchise like the Celtics.
“Coming into the league being drafted by the Celtics being here for seven years, understanding the the rich history and tradition that we have of this organization and 17, now 18 championships that we have and all the greats that have worn this uniform before me so it's an honor to to wear the uniform and it's a privilege to now be a part of the Celtics.”
