The Boston Red Sox have continued to have some bad luck keeping their players off the injured list, as they've lost outfielder Wilyer Abreu and reliever Chris Martin in the last 24 hours.
However, Boston got some good news on Wednesday, as Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow announced that outfielder Tyler O'Neill is being activated from the injured list.
Manager Alex Cora stated that the team will option catcher Tyler Heineman back to Triple-A Worcester.
O'Neill was placed on the 10-day injured list just a week ago after tweaking his knee in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers, although he said he'd been dealing with it for some time.
This season, O'Neill has hit .236 with an .843 OPS and 11 home runs. Both the team and player are hoping that this time off helps him get back on track.
