The Boston Red Sox defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0, and it is their second win in a row. The man who contributed the most to this game was Brayan Bello, who pitched a masterclass.
As the starter, Bello went eight shutout innings, the most of his career, and threw almost 100 pitches and got nine strikeouts. Bello did this all while only giving up two hits and a walk. Bello’s starts have been rocky this whole season, but tonight he showed his true potential.
As for the Sox’s offense, they didn’t heat up like they usually do, but they got a decent amount of runs. The Sox scored one run in the first inning off an RBI single by Wilyer Abreu to score Jarren Duran. They got their final two runs off a two-run dinger by Tyler O’Neill.
The Sox will play their final game against the Blue Jays tomorrow at 7:10pm EST.
