The Boston Red Sox DH Masataka Yoshida has been raking this summer, posting some insane stats since July.

Yoshida was out from late April to mid June, and in June he did ok hitting the ball. However, once July started, so did the Masa Mash. Yoshida has posted a .342 average, which is the 4th highest in the AL, and 6th in the MLB. He also has .417 OBP, which is 6th in both the AL and MLB and he has a .951 OPS, which is 9th in the AL. Finally, he has 50 hits and 32 RBI, both stats are tied for 7th in the AL.

Overall this season, Masataka has been great. This year, he has a .297 average, nine homers, and 45 RBI. He is a core hitter in the lineup, and he holds the Sox’s offensive consistency together.

Yoshida will be in the lineup tonight, and hopefully he keeps this hitting streak going against the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10EST.
