Pakistan Super League (PSL) is Pakistan's equivalent of the IPL. The PSL has completed nine years in 2024, and is set to be bigger than ever, very soon.
Established in 2016, Pakistan Super League has outgrown itself with every passing year. A peculiar thing about PSL is that unlike IPL, every franchise has had a taste of winning the silverware, at least once in their lifetime.
The PSL is set to expand its boundaries, and become bigger than ever.

When will two new teams be added in Pakistan Super League?
As per media outlet ESPNCricinfo, Pakistan Super League is set to become bigger and grander, as it enters its second decade of existence. The PSL 2025 will be the tenth year of the tournament, and the last year with the six franchises. As it was originally agreed in 2016, the PCB would not add any new franchises until the tenth season (2025) - except Multan Sultans' inclusion in 2018.
Thehe ten-year lease contracts with the franchise owners would come to an end after PSL 2025. The existing franchise owners have the right of first-refusal, should they not choose to match with the franchise valuation, ahead of PSL 2026.
In what will be a transition season from various fronts, two new franchises will be added to the PSL roster, from the eleventh edition. PSL 2026 will see eight teams fighting for the elusive PSL title. Moreover, the PCB are also expected to move the PSL window from April to May for PSL 10, clashing with the IPL.
