AFL grand final 2024 entertainment

Backing up the blockbuster performances of Robbie Williams and KISS was never going to be easy but the AFL has landed another international star to perform at the 2024 Grand Final.

Katy Perry, the popstar behind hits like Roar, Teenage Dream and Firework, is set to perform in front of 100,000 fans at the MCG on the last Saturday in September.

The 39-year-old American, who is known for her extravagant live production, has previously played at the NFL Super Bowl and Women's T20 Cricket World Cup Final.

“Katy Perry is an international music icon who has been entertaining fans with her chart-topping hits for many years, so the AFL is delighted to have her join us at the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final in what will be a spectacular Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment performance,” AFL exec Kylie Rogers said.

“The AFL continues to attract world class artists to our game, and we’re honoured to have Katy Perry on board to entertain a full house at the MCG and the millions of fans tuning in across the world.”

Perry, who will headline the slate of pre-game entertainment, is expected to be joined on the day by a range of other to-be-confirmed acts.
