There isn’t much better mic work in the entire industry of professional wrestling than what you’ll get from LA Knight and WWE United States Champion Logan Paul on an individual level, so when they’re both handed a mic and told to cut each other down to size it effectively becomes a cook off — precisely what happened on SmackDown on July 19.

The two superstars then smoked each other like brisket before Knight finally struck the right chord, and a flustered and rambling Paul snatched the contract, signed it and threw it at The Megastar.

With that, the fight is on, but Paul has home field advantage.

“I’m coming home,” he said on social media, with an evil emoji attached.

After weeks of trying to get Paul to commit to a title match, it took general manager Nick Aldis forcing him to the ring in Omaha to sign the Summerslam contract awarded to Knight one week prior.

Expect this to be one of the best matches at Summerslam, and Paul has plenty to prove despite claiming he doesn’t, mostly because Knight has had his number in the ring as of late — pinning him in the men’s qualifier for Money in the Bank ahead of the trek to Toronto.

So say what he will, but the champ isn’t exactly safe in his own city on Aug. 3, but the fact remains he will be in his city, so Knight better watch out for any and all surprises.
