WWE Monday Night RAW (August 19, 2024 episode) Preview, Match Card, Results ft Wyatt Sicks 6? image

The WWE universe shifts back to the red brand after a full and exciting card from Orlando on Friday Night Smackdown. While blue has the two biggest names in the wrestling world going for it in Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, Monday Night Raw's lineup is ridiculously deep, and that will be on display this evening. With the next PLE, Bash in Berlin, now less than two weeks away, the drive to setup the card is in full effect. In tonight's episode the WWE Women's Tag Team belts are on the line in a triple threat, as the Unholy Union looks to extend their two-month reign.

What's next for the Wyatt 6, who after finally making their in-ring debuts two weeks ago didn't wrestle last week? What's next for The Street Trash Judgment Day in their feud with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest? The next chapter in the Gunther vs Randy Orton feud and will Drew McIntyre and CM Punk continue to bleed over into the title picture? How many Tsunamis will Big Bronson Reed unleash and what's next for Bron Breakker and Sami Zayn after their rivaly seemingly has ended? Odyssey Jones! All this and more will start to get fleshed out shortly.

Match Results

Randy Orton, Gunther Promo

Orton started the show and informed the Florida crowd that he just wanted a shot at his 15th title, but Gunther made it personal talking about his family. They talked back and forth for a few before Ludwig Kaiser attacked Orton from behind. Orton beat them down for a bit before Kaiser took out his knee. Turns out that it was a precursor to getting Orton to knock off some ring rust with a matchup against Kaiser later in the episode.

Sheamus vs Pete Dunne | Sheamus won by pinfall

After Dunne attacked Sheamus backstage last week, this match was set. It was a decent matchup between the two, which honestly Dunne had the momentum for much of the match. Sheamus "knocked him out" with a Brogue kick and got the win by pinfall.

Bron Breakker Promo

A rcorded highlight reel of how dominant Breakker has been since his NXT days.

Maxxine Dupree vs Ivy Nile | (No Decision)

Maxxine fights?? She starts things off with a standing drop kick and then follows Nile out the ring to slam her with a suplex and then tossed her over the announcers table. The quiet timid Maxxine is gone. Just when Nile turned the tide, lights out... Maxxine gone, Abigail the Witch aka Nikke Cross is in the ring. American Made showed up to defend her,  but the Wyatt Sicks were there too and the brawl was on. Once the Creed Brothers were dispatched, Uncle Howdy arrived and nailed Chad Gable with a Sister Abigail as the crowd erupted.

CM Punk Promo

Punk is truly thankful to return to the huge crowds of the WWE after 10 years away. "I'm Taylor Swift for men." Punk says that Drew McIntyre is obsessed with him and therefore he got Adam Pearce to okay a strap match for Bash in Berlin. McIntyre comes out to accept the match but challenged Punk to an instant match instead of waiting. Punk attempted to trade the strap for the bracelet but McIntyre refused. The PLE is on.

New Day & Odyssey Jones vs Final Testament | New Day & Jones win by pinfall

The pre-match promo didn't exactly smooth things over between Woods and Kingston in regards to adding Jones to the fold.

Karrion Kross and Xavier Woods to start, but Kofi Kingston tagged himself in. Kingston got a royal beatdown but when he was finally able to break free he tagged in Jones and not Woods, which pissed Woods off. Jones cleared everyone out and eventually landed The Journey's End to get the win.

Big Bronson Reed vs The Miz (No DQ) | Reed wins by pinfall

Miz tried to use the chair but Reed is so huge he blocked it with his arm. Miz brought all the props out from underneatht eh ring. Multiple chairs, kendo sticks, trash cans... and GET THE TABLES!

Kendo stick attack? Caught and broken.  Reed unfolded a chair to sit on it while he crushed Miz's head with his foot while he laughed maniacally. Miz flipped things over the commercial break and then caught Reed with a 2nd-turnbuckle DDT onto a chair.  Five smacks with the kendo stick.

Death Valley Driver into the table ended all of that... Tsunami and it's a wrap. Big Bron Strowman comes marching out to the ring to tell Reed to pick on someone his own size... and the next big-man rivalry is born.

Bron Breakker Promo

Breakker announces the No. 1 contender tournament for the IC championship.

Domink Mysterio vs Damian Priest | No Contest

Priest was ready for the Judgment Day to try and jump him and beat them all down outside the ring. Priest and Ripley team up on the last man standing. Ripley cleared off the announcer's table to launch Mysterio, but there's Liv Morgan with a chair to the back. Morgan is decimating Ripley while Judgment Day abuses Priest in the ring. Morgan hits Ripley with an Oblivion after Finn Balor hit Priest with a Coup de Gras. Frog Splash by Mysterio and the JD posed overtop of the destroyed Terror Twins.

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn vs Pure Fusion Collective vs Damage Ctrl | Fyre and Dawn win by pinfall.

I can't even describe how much of a mess this match was. Iyo Skye is a great high flyer. Please don't make her throw a punch.

Randy Orton vs Ludwig Kaiser | Orton wins by pinfall

Orton's power is phenomenal and he ragdolled Kaiser until they were outside the ring where Gunther appeared, distracting Orton. Kaiser did the same thing as the promo, took out his knee, then went to work on it. Orton finally turned the tide and while staring down Gunther hit Kaiser with four backdrops onto the announcer's table. Back in the ring Orton hit a thunderous power slam but Kaiser tried to steal momentum, going to the top rope where Orton hit him with a Superplex and then a DDT.

Orto tried an RKO but Kaiser slipped out for a rollup attempt that Orton kicked out of and then nailed his RKO for the win.

Gunther jumps in the ring and they start battling as the show ends.
