The apparent bleeding of the WWE in free agency has been put to a swift and abrupt halt over the past several days. Having parted ways with Ricochet and Dijak while still waiting to see what Becky Lynch will do when she ends her hiatus, they’ve now hooked big fish in Stephanie Vacquer and you won’t see the “Queen of Harts”, Natalya, going anywhere.

That’s because the future Hall of Fame superstar has reportedly signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with WWE for the foreseeable future, avoiding free agency entirely, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.

It’s a smart move, to say the least, for WWE.

Natalya would garner mounds of attention on the open market, most notably from AEW, who is currently fuming at the poaching of Vacquer at the last minute; and who could also benefit from having a legend like Natalya in their ranks — also having just completed their tournament for the Owen Hart Cup.

That tournament alone shows Tony Khan’s, and the entire wrestling community’s, reverence for the Hart family as a whole.

Natalya has been compromising well in WWE as of late, willing to help put over younger talent while maintaining her cache as a solid mid-card wrestler at this point in her illustrious career.

She’s clearly happy where she is, and the feeling is definitely mutual from Paul “Triple H” Levesque, making it a no-brainer for him to put yet another long term contract in front of her.
