It’s safe to say Drew McIntyre didn’t get the memo. When he lost in the strap match at WWE Bash at Berlin against CM Punk, the match and the now-legendary bracelet, it was said by Punk that the feud was over and that gold was now on the agenda.

More specifically, Punk wants the WWE Heavyweight Championship currently owned by Gunther; and he appeared on this week’s episode of RAW to make that very clear.

But as he finished his promo and began to celebrate, McIntyre appeared and assaulted him with a ferocity that blurred the lines between kayfabe and reality. Punk’s head was bashed into the announcer’s table before being literally Claymore’d out of one of his shoes.

LOOK: WHO IS GIULIA?!

McIntyre was feral and even took a swing at Wade Barrett, the very announcer who tried to save McIntyre from himself following the Money in the Bank robbery that led to McIntyre attacking general manager Adam Pearce after the show.

That wasn’t the end of it, though.

McIntyre dragged a nearly unconscious Punk back into the ring and beat him to within an inch of his life, then took the bracelet and broke it before shoving the remnants into Punk’s mouth to try and choke him with the very thing that he loves so much.

That also was not the end, though.

As Punk jumped up to escape the near-death experience, and with the ring now filled with WWE officials trying desperately to restrain McIntyre, unsuccessfully, he was hit with yet another Claymore that landed square on his jaw. McIntyre would finally leave the ring and out came the stretcher as the ambulance awaited to transport Punk to the hospital — the second time in this feud that he’s been hospitalized by Mcintyre.

That, also, was not the end, though.

McIntyre reappeared near the ambulance to assault Punk yet again, despite his rival being incapacitated on a stretcher with a neck brace and surrounded by medical personnel.

And, at least for now, that was the end. But as Punk just found out, it’s not the end at all — assuming one actually does exist.

Can you say ... Hell in a Cell?
