Though you may be unfamiliar with her at the moment, you’ve likely heard her name being invoked on several occasions as of late during WWE NXT programming and, rest assured, there are many globally who do know exactly who Giulia is.

The veteran joins other headline free agent Stephanie Vaquer in signing with the women’s division of WWE, and NXT, specifically, adding that much more firepower to an already stacked card on the Black and Gold brand.

Recently, the newly-crowned WWE and NXT superstar spoke to Tokyo Sports to explain why she made the jump from Japan to Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s promotion.

“I made this decision after worrying about it for a long time, so now I have an unshakable determination.I will definitely become big and create a revolution over there in order to do something that no one has done before. I am sure that the audience that was at that venue (of the WWE Japan show) is in Japan. In order to attract those people, I am now in a place where I need to actually work on more specific issues and make improvements.

“However, I am still too small to make my opinions known, so I will absorb many things over there, and I will definitely make the world a better place. And I will make Japanese women’s wrestling, which I love, bigger.”

The 30-year-old has spent years honing her craft, making her professional debut in Ice Ribbon in Japan in 2017, winning the promotion’s New Face Award (Rookie of the Year) en route to landing tag team gold as one-half of Burning Raw. She’d battle through nerve damage in her hip to remain a main draw in the promotion before ultimately taking her next step forward.

NXT NO MERCY: MOST SHOCKING MOMENT OF ENTIRE PLE

That came by way of the independent circuit, where she worked various promotions until 2024, and that includes cross-pollinating with World Wonder Ring Stardom for several years and enjoying a title run as Wonder of Stardom Champion, and also a tag title run alongside Syuri as Goddesses of Stardom Champions.

Now, she London-born talent brings her skills to NXT.

Giulia departed NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) and headed to the United States, having spent her last four years in the overseas promotion. As noted, there is no shortage of competition awaiting her in WWE, on any of the three brands, and she will be tested in all the ways — both in-ring and on the mic.

She’s shown she can hold her own though, and it’ll be fun to see what is in store for her once the machine that is the WWE gets behind her.

There is no time being wasted in giving her a top program against one of the best NXT women’s wrestlers, and wrestlers, period, of all-time.
