CM Punk reacts to Drew McIntyre allegation: ‘I get to punch him in the mouth’ on WWE RAW, SmackDown image

CM Punk may or may not have heard about how Drew McIntyre tore into him recently on a podcast, labeling him ‘an attraction’ and ‘not a wrestler’, but his reply indicates it may have hit his radar. The two WWE superstars have been locked in a blood feud for months now and McIntyre’s victory at Summerslam did nothing to ice their weekly meetings on RAW and SmackDown.

And prior to both appearing this past Monday, Punk replied to McIntyre’s rant with a statement of his very own.

LOOK: RARELY USED RULE APPLIES TO THE BLOODLINE?

"When I go home, I have April and Larry there and that's a completely different world,” he told The Masked Man Show, via Fightful. “I think that maybe why [Drew] gets under my skin so much is because I feel like he's always on and he doesn't turn it off. He's always tweeting, he's always saying something stupid on Twitter.

“I'm just trying to live my life at home. It grates on the nerves. It's annoying, but then I get to go to work and I get to try and punch him in the face. Mondays are a good time for me.”

It’s definitely true that McIntyre has become one of the most social superstars on Twitter/X, often using his posts to agitate his opponents cerebrally and, for all intents and purposes, his success in doing so is likely a key reason several others are now doing it — e.g., Zelina Vega, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, etc. — blurring the line between reality and kayfabe.

Punk would love for it to stop, which is why, for McIntyre, it never, ever will.

The two will battle in a Strap Match at "Bash in Berlin" on Aug. 31, and maybe that will settle things once and for all, but hopefully ... it won't.
