The Scripps National Spelling Bee is down to the final group of students from across the country competing for the coveted title.

LIVE: Round-by-round results, winners for 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee

The preliminaries took place on Tuesday, with the field narrowed even further Wednesday before Thursday's finals. Last year, Florida native Dev Shah came out on top, winning on the word "psammophile." He made it through words such as "aegagrus," "rommack," and "tolsester" on his way to the title, outlasting runner-up Charlotte Walsh, who bowed out on the word "daviely."

Spellers ranging from elementary to high school age are competing in this year's bee at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Eight spellers remain, but only one will come away with the title. Tune in to see who spells their way to the top.
