Jordan Chiles family tree: Meet the parents and more to know about USA gymnast's roots image

Jordan Chiles was on the USA's roster bubble entering the 2024 Olympics, but she earned a spot on the five-woman roster with a strong performance at the U.S. Olympic trials.

Chiles is performing in her second Olympics as a result, but this time, her family has been alongside her rooting her on.

Chiles' family wasn't allowed at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. COVID-19 restrictions prevented them from attending and rooting for their daughter.

They are making up fro that in full force in 2024 and have been a staple on gymnastics broadcasts because of that.

Here's what to know about Chiles' family as she competes for medals at the 2024 Olympics.

Jordan Chiles parents

Timothy Chiles

Timothy Chiles is Jordan's father. He works as a pastor and was the one who originally got credit for signing Jordan up for gymnastics.

Timothy first realized Jordan might succeed as a gymnast as he was watching her alone for a week while Gina was on a business trip. Jordan was "revved up from morning until bedtime" during that week, per the New York Times.

After that, the two parents decided to let Jordan try gymnastics. She quickly found success there and eventually established herself as a force on the national team.

Gina Chiles

Like Timothy, Gina Chiles is also a pastor. Jordan has described her as being "literally in love with sports," and that's how the youngest Chiles got her name: from Michael Jordan.

Chiles' mother was a key force in her sports career, supporting Jordan during some struggles in her team years when she did not see eye to eye with her coaches.

"She’s literally the life of me. I love her to death," Jordan said of her mother to NBC Sports in June 2021. "She’s my best friend. I can’t thank her enough for everything that she’s done for me and the love and support that she’s given is 1,000 percent out of this world."

The duo's close relationship is evident during Chiles' competitions, as he mother is often seen raucously rooting her on from the crowd.

Is Jordan Chiles married?

Jordan Chiles is not married. She isn't even in a relationship, as she detailed in an interview ahead of the 2024 Olympics.

That said, because Chiles' sisters are involved in event planning, she has long had an idea of what her ideal wedding would look like.

"I literally have a whole Pinterest board. Since I was 12 years old, I've talked to my sister about it. We've talked about it over and over again. I want my wedding to be in the summer, and I want it to be a very chic, modern vibe. I'm not even married or engaged or with anybody, so it's like, what is going on?"
