At this rate they're never going to let Seattle Seahawks legendary running back Marshawn Lynch back on a live ESPN broadcast again. Lynch famously made headlines for using the F-word and others like it in an appearance on the Manningcast for a Monday Night Football game between the Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints three years ago.
This week Lynch is a featured guest on ESPN's College Gameday's first-eer broadcast from Berkeley, where Lynch played his college ball. Lynch was also a guest on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday, and he was apparently in rare form.
According to an account by the SF Gate, when Marshawn was asked for his pick on the big game between Miami and Cal tonight, he predicted a whole lot of marijuana smoke.
Marshawn Lynch predicts lots of weed for Cal-Miami
“You should be expecting a lot of dope smoke. A lot of dope smoke,” Lynch said. McAfee joked that it will be “cloudy,” leading Lynch to laugh: “The forecast in Berkeley say cloudy. I think it’s just like that in the Bay Area, period.”
Solid analysis, as always.
Lynch has not appeared in an NFL game since the 2019 season, making him eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame next year. Marshawn is keeping busy these days as a podcast host. In addition to a weekly political pod with California Governor Gavin Newsom, Lynch is also running a weekly Seahawks pod with former teammate Mike Robinson and making his regular appearances on Amazon's broadcasts of Thursday Night Football.
