The Pittsburgh Steelers entered the game extremely short at wide receiver, as the team only dressed four going into the contest against the Los Angeles Chargers. It appears the Steelers might be even shorter now.
The Steelers' No. 2 wide receiver, Van Jefferson, suffered an eye injury in the second quarter that has him questionable to return. The severity of the injury remains unknown at this time.
If Jefferson doesn't return, the Steelers will only have three wide receivers in George Pickens, Scotty Miller and Calvin Austin. Pittsburgh also has rookie Roman Wilson on the roster but decided to leave him inactive despite the fact that he was a full participant in the team's last two practices and had no designation.
