As the Pittsburgh Steelers prepare for their Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts, they may have a decision to make at quarterback between Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

Wilson was announced as the starter going into the season, but a calf injury has left him unable to suit up over the Steelers' first three games, which has led to Fields getting the nod.

In that span, the Steelers are 3-0 with Fields, and the 25-year-old has done just enough to get Pittsburgh there, with the defense playing a huge role. But Fields is coming off his best performance of the season in Week 3, and that has only led to more speculation that the Steelers could stick with him after Wilson is cleared.

Knowing all that, ESPN's Adam Schefter recently suggested that the Steelers could offer some aid to the Miami Dolphins, a team that is currently without its starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, who is dealing with another concussion and is currently on injured reserve for at least three more games.

In his stead, the Dolphins started Skylar Thompson in Week 3, but the results were bad and Thompson got injured. Schefter thinks the Dolphins should call the Steelers to inquire about Wilson if he doesn't get his starting job back.

Along with Pittsburgh, Schefter believes the Dolphins should call up the Denver Broncos about Zach Wilson, and the Cleveland Browns about Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

Wilson would make the most sense by far for the Dolphins, as Miami is in win-now mode and the veteran signal-caller is the most proven option.

The problem with that idea is the Steelers are unlikely to trade him. After all, even if Fields keeps the starting job, he isn't guaranteed to do enough to stay in that role the rest of the season and the Steelers will want an insurance policy behind him as they look to contend for a division title.

The only thing that could change that is if Wilson becomes disgruntled behind the scenes and demands a trade, but we wouldn't count on that happening.
