After moving on from head coach and de facto general manager Bill Belichick this offseason, the New England Patriots are still looking to find the next leader of their front office.
However, it appears the Patriots are having a tough time finding someone interested in the role.
After it was reported that Trey Brown declined an interview on Monday, CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones reported that former Arizona Cardinals vice president of player personnel Quentin Harris declined an interview on Tuesday.
Harris, 47, played safety in the NFL from 2002-07 with stints with the Cardinals, New York Giants and Denver Broncos. After retiring he joined the Cardinals staff as a scout in 2008. He was promoted to director of pro scouting in 2013, director of player personnel in 2019 and vice president of player personnel in 2021 before being let go recently
Through the draft process, Eliot Wolf was essentially the top guy in New England's building, but that job isn't permanent.
With two people having turned down the role, the Patriots are going to be taking a public relations hit, as it appears no one is interested.
They'll need to find someone quick, or at least make sure these reports don't keep getting out there because it's a terrible look.
