In a recent article, ESPN NFL analyst Field Yates ranked the non-Round 1 draft picks from the 2024 draft that will have immediate impacts in 2024. Yates states that Atlanta Falcons rookie Bralen Trice will immediately impact Atlanta's defense. Yates goes on to say that he could have chosen virtually any of the Falcons defensive additions to the front seven, but that Trice was the pick because he "would not have forecasted [Trice] to still be on the board at pick No. 74"

"..an average combine performance perhaps contributed a mini slide. Atlanta was desperate for pass-rushers in the draft, as the team's two leading sackers from 2023 are both unsigned free agents and managed just 6.5 sacks last season (Calais Campbell and Bud Dupree). Trice could be a starter from jump street -- or at the very least have a significant third rusher role. He had seven sacks in 2023."

Trice's effort and mindset should give Falcons fans hope that he could be the answer to Atlanta's long-standing issues with generating a pass rush. Mix that with the fact that the defensive line has improved in terms of talent and versatility and Falcons fans have a lot to look forward to in 2024.
