On Tuesday, the NFL released each team's training camp report dates and locations, with the Los Angeles Rams reporting to Loyola Marymount University on July 23rd. This date is for both rookies and veterans. LMU will be a new location for the team, as they had been training at UC Irvine for the last seven seasons, ever since they moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles.
The Rams completed their OTA and minicamp spring schedule in recent weeks and are currently enjoying their own version of summer break. For most players, that means training at individual training facilities or in player-organized workout sessions, or simply giving their bodies a break and taking vacations.
For the Rams, training camp is where the position battles truly begin to take shape. Stetson Bennett and Jimmy Garoppolo will compete for the backup QB spot behind Matthew Stafford, while there seems to be a position battle brewing at the STAR position on the defensive side of the ball.
This is where the rookies truly begin to get acclimated and where teams begin to gauge the state of their roster. If the Rams were going to make any more moves to add to the roster, it would be around the time of training camp.
The Rams haven't announced details for attendance, but there will be selected dates when fans will be able to attend training camp. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.
