Based on comments he's made after being taken with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, it's clear that cornerback Terrion Arnold is striving to be great.
Not only did he show plenty of confidence in the wake of being drafted, Arnold recently revealed he aims to be a Hall of Famer and the best cornerback to ever play the game, as he detailed in NFL Films' show "Hey Rookie Welcome to the NFL".
"I want to be remembered as the greatest cornerback to ever played this game, that simple," Arnold said. "I want to put that gold jacket on, and I ain't talking about that kind of gold jacket you go out there and buy. That one that gotta be earned, not given."
But Arnold's drive to be the best isn't something he developed in the last few years. In fact, Arnold has shown incredible drive to be the best ever since he was a kid, as this awesome video from the aforementioned NFL Films series shows.
"Let's show them what we do, man," a young and animated Arnold says. "I'm about to cry I want it so bad, man. I want to be successful so bad, man. That's how bad I want it. I put in the work every day. I still don't know. I have not seen my results, man. 'Cause I want this, man. I'm gonna show you how bad I want it. I'm gonna show you on the court, because my game's gonna do the talking. That's it for me, man. See y'all boys, man."

I don't know about you, but I'd run through a wall for young Terrion Arnold after that speech.
While Arnold has set lofty goals for himself, the first step in the process of achieving them is to grab a starting role out of training camp, something he has a good chance to do.
